An upgraded jig hook with an extra wide bend for use with tungsten heads. The shape of the hook allows the use of larger heads on a smaller hook compared to regular jig hooks where this is sometimes a big problem.

You can tie mainly tungsten jigs of all types and sizes to this type of fly hook, but of course also trout jig streamers - a special type of modern streamers tied on jig hooks.

A hook of this type is also used when tying "horizontal" stillwater lures, which are used today when fishing with the static method "Dry-Dropper" or "BUNG".
