Upavon Sure Set UV Torch

This torch is very nice, it’s quite small and light (but made with quality materials) and fits only one AA battery so will need a readit has single bulb and is powerful and effective to work with. I have other torches and this one is very good at reasonable price, I will definitely take this one when I’m travelling.

This is way better than the cheap ones of amazon. Be aware that it is powerful and thus chews through Alkaline batteries. I bought 4 3000mAh Lithium rechargeable batteries plus a charger off amazon for £10. When the light delays to illuminate, change the cell otherwise you will get deep discharge and the charger will reject as a duff one.

I had been looking to upgrade some of my fly thing equipment for a while; specifically varnish and head-building materials - varnish & resins etc. Following a chance meeting with Tom Bird at a fishing club, I received top advice and he steered me toward some suitable Upavon products.
My order, placed with Upavon the next day, was expertly and efficiently processed; it was with me a day or two later.
Everything works as I was told it would and my flies for this season are already looking very much the better - to my eyes at least, we’ll see what the fish make of them in coming weeks!
Thanks Tom and thank you Upavon….. I’ll be back.

I’ve had a couple of other torches that were a lot cheaper and really didn’t have the power to cure resin fully. I wish I had just paid the extra in the first place!

Very good Torch, best one i have used to date. I am very satisfied with the Product.

So, I haven’t had much experience with UV led lights for curing special varnishes etc. But this certainly is an easy introduction to the world of curing etc. Not that expensive and it certainly does the job well . It takes one single AA Battery. I am using it with the Solarez products. I don’t think you’ll. e disappointed with this if you chose it.

This torch is the best i've ever had, and i've had a few. Combines amazingly with the bone dry, happy fly tyer.

I have bought a couple of torches lately which burnt out very quickly. Decided it was time to spend a bit more and it was the right choice. Very good quality torch. Feels nice and heavy in the hand with a very powerful output. The real cherry on top is the single AA battery. Cured 10 buzzers rock hard. Thankyou Upavon. It really does pay off to spend a bit more.
