Our braided fly line loops are manufactured by Upavon in the UK and feature a unique heat shrink sleeve that can be bonded to the fly line using a hair drier, steam or boiling water with or without the addition of glue. Once shrunk, this supple sleeve slides freely through rod eyes and provides unparalleled grip onto the fly line. Despite the tight hold achieved, for extra assurance we recommend a small amount of superglue is applied.

- Shrinks to half the diameter at 70 degrees Celsius

- Suitable for lines rated ATFM 3-8 and 30lb breaking strain

Too small

Very small only suitable for low weight lines, at that size I would not use them and make my own loops out of shrink wrap and doubled back line and heat.

These are excellent braided loops . The shrink tubes make a seamless connection to the fly line. I would highly recommend them.

Like the colour

These braided loops are high-quality and I like the non-reflecting black finish, rather then the usual white. They require a thinnish fly-line tip to thread but once the sleeve is placed, they are supple and strong. I always coat at least an inch distal to the sleeve with super-glue for added security.

Good quality and easy to fit. With the added drop of thin super glue at the point where shrink tube meets the braid you’re good to go. The best braided loops I’ve come across so far.
